LAPOUTRE+ is a Dutch leadership advisory and development practice with a strong and longstanding track record. Since 1991, through Bureau Lapoutre BV, we have supported leaders and professionals across government, the public domain, and the corporate sector. Bureau Lapoutre BV also offers independent research and consultancy through BureauLP.
Founded by Michel La Poutre, who continues to lead the firm, LAPOUTRE+ operates as a boutique practice. Depending on the assignment, we collaborate with a trusted network of senior partners — ensuring depth, flexibility, and the highest level of expertise.

Introducing Michel La Poutre, the driving force behind LAPOUTRE+
Michel La Poutre has a BA in Economics and holds a MSc in Business Administration. He has a long and successful track record as trainer, coach and leadership development expert. He is also an experienced interim manager, board advisor, and process manager. Michel works in the public and private domain.
Michel likes to inspire and stimulate people, aiming for them to learn to fulfill their potential and make better use of their possibilities. He empowers people to take responsibility, become more aware of their own thoughts, feelings, and actions, perform better, and have more fun. He encourages people to make the best contribution to their organization or team based on their own strengths.
Michel does this in various roles: as an interim manager, advisor or coach at an organizational level or individually. But always on the basis of clear agreements, with an eye for the organization and the individual. And always driven, in cadence, with integrity, personal, concrete.
From the start of his career, Michel has worked on many short and long assignments at various government organizations and municipalities. He has a track record of running and advising transformational projects in Dutch and international business environments. Michel has worked in sectors such as financial services, oil and gas, water, trade, transport, and ICT. He is an expert in leading organizations, teams, and professionals to a measurable and lasting higher level of performance.
